Located at 1500m altitude at the bottom of Plateau d'Emparis, at the border of Ecrins National park, Besse offers an ideal location for walking, horse-riding, paragliding and water sports. Close to the famous and mythical cols of the Tour de France, Besse is also a paradise for cyclists. In winter time come and have fun in international ski resorts such as Les 2 Alpes, Alpe d'Huez, La Grave or Serre Chevalier, with skiing opportunities up to 3600m height, and in the evening relax in our wonderfully preserved and quiet village.
