Presentation
In 1787 in South Burgundy was built a cristal factory thanks to Louis the XVI who made it for the queen Marie-Antoinette, and bought in 1837 by the Schneider Familly, a blacksmith masters dynasty. Restaured and upgraded with a park, the new Château de la Verrerie will become their mansion. In 1863 a new block is added to host the factory pharmacy. In 1894 this one is transfered to the Hotel Dieu which just finished the construction work. The free block become a room for employees activities, where we can find pools, games, fencing room, and a huge library. In 1922 the château will become a guest house, welcoming presidents and important people during their famous receptions.
